Gościnnie: Margarete (wideo-gawęda Janka Turkowskiego) – performance in English

„Margarete” follows a curiosity-driven purchase of sixty four tapes from a random person, a woman living in eastern Germany near the border with Poland. The fascination with the aesthetic qualities of images recorded on old film and a sentimental journey to the era of communist scenography is laced with glimpses into the process of processing and reuse of original material. It is a reflection on the recording of memories and a private investigation into the identity of a person who left only a slight mark on silent film.
